Materials required

• Yarn I used in acrylic: Off White, Light Blue, White, Yellow, Light Grey, Soft Pink, Beige, Light Green

• Black thread for details 

• Crochet hook 3.0 mm 

• Fiberfill/Toy stuffing

• Stitch markers, scissors and embroidery needle.

Abbreviations

MR: Magic Ring
sc: Single Crochet
sl st: Slip Stitch
inc: Increase; crochet 2 sc in the same stitch
dec: Decrease; crochet 2 sc together 
ch: Chain
rnd: Round(s)
hdc: Half Double Crochet
dc: Double Crochet
[…]: repeat instructions in brackets X times
(..): total number of stitches in the round or row (chains not counted)
*Close Up means pull the yarn through the front loops and pull tight

Cheeks (make 2)

Yarn used: Soft Pink

Rnd 1:  MR 6 (6) Slip stitch in the next stitch, fasten off and leave a long tail to sew to the head. Between rounds 12-15 just below the eyes.

Feelers (make 2)

Yarn used: Off White

Rnd 1:  MR 4 (4)
Rnd 2: [1 sc, inc] x 2 (6)
Rnd 3: 6 sc (6)
Rnd 4: [1 sc, dec] x 2 (4)
Rnd 5 – 6: 4 sc (4)
Finish off and leave a long tail to sew to the head. They are placed on top of the head between rounds 4-6. Make sure there is enough space between them to place the crown.

Crown

Yarn used: Beige

Start with a long yarn tail. 
Chain 6, close the round. 
Rnd 1 – 2:  6 sc (6)
Rnd 3: [ch 3, start in the second stitch from the chain, sl st, sc, skip a stitch sl st] x 3
Finish off and leave a long tail to sew to the body. Place the crown on top of the head between rounds 2-5.


Head

Yarn used: Off White

Rnd 1: MR 6 (6)
Rnd 2: [inc] x 6 (12)
Rnd 3: [1 sc, inc] x 6 (18)
Rnd 4: 1 sc, inc, [2 sc, inc] x 5, 1 sc (24)
Rnd 5: [3 sc, inc] x 6 (30)
Rnd 6:  2 sc, inc, [4 sc, inc] x 5, 2 sc (36)
Rnd 7 – 14: 36 sc (36)
Rnd 15: 2 sc, dec, [4 sc, dec] x 5, 2 sc (30) 
Rnd 16: [3 sc , dec] x 6 (24)
Rnd 17: 1 sc, dec, [2 sc, dec] x 5, 1 sc (18)
Stuff the head.
Rnd 18: [1 sc, dec] x 6 (12)
Rnd 19: [dec] x 6 (6)
Close off and weave in the end.

Embroider the eyes on the head. I placed them between rounds 9-11 with 3 stitches in between.


Body

Yarn used: Light Blue

Rnd 1: MR 6 (6)
Rnd 2: [inc] x 6 (12)
Rnd 3: [1 sc, inc] x 6 (18)
Rnd 4: 1 sc, inc, [2 sc, inc] x 5, 1 sc (24)
Rnd 5: [3 sc, inc] x 6 (30)
Rnd 6 – 11: 30 sc (30)
Rnd 12: [3 sc , dec] x 6 (24)
Rnd 17: 1 sc, dec, [2 sc, dec] x 5, 1 sc (18)
Stuff the body. Cut off the yarn leaving a long yarn tail to sew the body to the head.
Pin the head to the body and sew it together.

Tail

Light Green

Rnd 1: MR 4 (4)
Rnd 2: [inc] x 4 (8)
Rnd 3: [1 sc, inc] x 4 (12)
Rnd 4: [3 sc, inc] x 3 (15)
Rnd 5 – 11: 15 sc (15)
Stuff the tail.

Cut off the yarn leaving a long yarn tail to sew to the body.

Pin it to the body and sew them together.

Left Upper Wing (looking at it from the front)

Yarn used: Yellow, White, Light Blue

Start with Yellow
Rnd 1: MR 8 sc (8)
Rnd 2: [inc] x 8 (16)
Change to White
Rnd 3: [1 sc, inc] x 8 (24)
Rnd 4: [2 sc, inc] x 8 (32)
Everything between () goes into one stitch
Rnd 5: 2 sc, ( sc + hdc),( inc hdc), (hdc + dc), (inc dc), (dc + hdc), (inc hdc), ( hdc + sc), 23 sc (39)
Change to Light Blue
Rnd 6: sc all around.
Leave a long tail to sew to the body.

Right Upper Wing

Yarn used: Yellow, White, Light Blue

Start with Yellow
Rnd 1: MR 8 sc (8)
Rnd 2: [inc] x 8 (16)
Change to White
Rnd 3: [1 sc, inc] x 8 (24)
Rnd 4: [2 sc, inc] x 8 (32)
Everything between the commas, goes into one stitch
Rnd 5: 23 sc ( sc + hdc),( inc hdc), (hdc + dc), (inc dc), (dc + hdc), (inc hdc), ( hdc + sc), 2 sc (39)
Change to Light Blue
Rnd 6: sc all around.
Leave a long tail to sew to the body.

Left Lower Wing

Yarn used: Light Grey, Light96 Blue

Start with Light Grey, Ch 6, starting in the second stitch from the hook.
Row 1: 4 sc, inc, ch 1, turn  (6)
Row 2: inc, 5 sc, ch 1, turn (7)
Row 3: 6 sc, inc, ch 1, turn (8)
Row 4: inc, 7 sc, ch 1, turn (9)
Row 5: 6 sc, ch 5, turn, start in the second from the hook. (11)
Row 6: 10 sc, ch 1, turn (10)
Row 7: 9 sc, inc, ch 1 turn (11)
Row 8: 11 sc (11)
Change to Light Blue. 
Rnd 9: Sc all around
Put an inc in the corners if needed.
Cut the yarn leaving a long yarn tail.

Right Lower Wing

Yarn used: Light Grey, Light Blue

Start with Light Grey, Ch 6, start in the second stitch from the hook.
Row 1: 4 sc, inc, ch 1, turn  (6)
Row 2: inc, 5 sc, ch 1, turn (7)
Row 3: 6 sc, inc, ch 1, turn (8)
Row 4: inc, 7 sc, ch 1, turn (9)
Row 5: 6 sc, ch 5, turn, start in the second from the hook. (11)
Row 6: 10 sc, ch 1, turn (10)
Row 7: 9 sc, inc, ch 1 turn (11)
Row 8: 11 sc (11)
Change to Light Blue. 
Rnd 9: ch 1, turn, sc all around
Put an inc in the corners if needed.
Cut the yarn leaving a long yarn tail.

Assembly

Place the upper wings first and pin them to the body. See how you like the placement and sew them to the body and to the head if needed.
Place the lower wings. I have sewn them with one or two stitches to the body and the rest to the backside of the upper wing. Weave in all the ends.
