Apricot & Jelly Crochet A Long (CAL) Main Info Page

It’s Crochet A Long time! In about 2 and a half weeks, I will launch the first part of the Apricot&JellyCAL. This will give you plenty of time to get all of your materials together and your yarn ordered!

This is the landing page for all of the information you will need to participate. This three part CAL will walk you through each step of making Apricot & Jelly, including Jelly’s mushroom. This is a quick and fun make, with minimal sewing. (Whoop whoop!) I know you can do it, even if you are an adventurous beginner.

Read through all information on this page and if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out! If you have any questions while reading the pattern, there will be videos posted to YouTube each week for you to follow along. I highly recommend watching these videos!

I have created some transparent stickers for you to use in your IG stories during the Apricot & Jelly CAL. This is a direct link to my Drive where you can save the photos to your device and follow the included instructions.

Choosing yarn/Gauge

Obviously you can use any yarn you would like, you do not need to use the yarn I am using. The beautiful thing about amigurumi is that there is no gauge. As long as you use a corresponding hook, it will be just fine.

I love using all kinds of yarn. When choosing yarn for amigurumi, make sure you choose yarn with some structure. If you use too fine or flimsy of a yarn, the animal will lose shape when being stuffed, or over time.

The Stonewashed XL yarn that I am using is just like using a worsted weight yarn. If you have a favorite weight 4 yarn, this will do just fine! If you want the mushroom and snail to be smaller like I have made, I would stick with using a sport/DK weight yarn and the hooks that I have recommended in the patterns. If you choose these types of yarns, the amount of yarn used should be approximately the same as listed in the pattern as well. Of course these weights can change slightly depending on tension.

Wrapping up

When this CAL is completed, you will have a finished Apricot the Fox, Jelly the snail and his mushroom. I hope you will also have some new tips and tricks under your belt, as well as some new yarny friends to follow.

If you have any questions at all please do not hesitate to email me here or contact me via Instagram. I am here to help you!

There is a giveaway happening at the end of the CAL so make sure to be active and post all the photos you can of your Apricot & Jelly, while using the proper hashtags! You don’t want to miss out!
